"Empowering People to Get From Where They Are to Where They're DESTINED." – Jeremiah 29:11

  • At first glance at my tag line for this blog one could assume I am talking about wanting to be employed…and it could mean that for some.

I believe that there are some things God requires us to put in some work in order to get that which He has already ordained to be in our lives.

When we ask God to give something to us..to bless us, we should also follow-up the request with the exercising of faith, prayer, praise; in belief that God is hearing and will answer for our benefit. “Hard work ain’t ever hurt nobody.”

We as Christians get very lazy and start to feel like we are entitled to every single thing we want, like a spoiled child…[NEWS FLASH: just cuz we inherited gifts from God doesn’t mean we will get them all at once….there may be some stipulations like, working for it, in order for some of our inheritance to be released into your life!]

God wants us to live in HIS abundance so we got to put in work to show God we believe and we are WILLING to hold on, and while holding on, be WILLing to give Him our time, our talent, and our tithe.

How much work are you willing to do?

Christians must train just like people who spend their time conditioning to be a great basketball player, a great gymnist, a great tennis player…think about it??? You thinking?

It takes endurance to keep on going, perseverance to keep on gunning, patience to keep on climbing, prayer to keep on thriving, focus to keep on to God’s finish line, and courage through the time from ur asking to ur receiving of the many blessings God has for those who keep pushing through the pain as Christ did from earth to departure into Heaven.

God, I am willing to do the work!

    Be encouraged.

    Today’s Scripture:

2 Corinthians 8:11| Aramaic Bible in Plain English

“Finish now by works that thing which you desire, for as you had eagerness to desire, so you should complete by works from what you have.”

  • Make sure that the people in ur inner circle are there to encourage and uplift you as well as let you know when you’re not right and helping you grow to be a better person.

If you hang around the opposite people, you will only be harming yourself, sooner or later.

Let’s focus and be real with ourselves and examine the people you associate with and see how they compliment or corrupt your lives.

    Today’s Scripture:

Don’t be deceived, bad company corrupts good character. (‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭33‬ CEB)

  • In Psalm 34:9, David tells us to “fear” God, but not in the sense that to fear God is to be scared to pray to Him.  Fear, in this instance, could translate into being fully aware of who God is and what power He possesses.  So, fear is seen in this scripture verse to mean to reverence God; to hold God in the highest place within your life; to respect His divine plans for you.  It also means to submit to God as the ruler over your life and to be obedient to the commands He has instructed us as His people to follow.

Another way to look at fear in this text is to understand that In God’s wrath is not a place we want to be, in-other-words, we do not want to be in a position in which we are punished for not believing in Him while we have a physical life on the Earth.  It means to believe that what God said about Hell is very real.  Heaven is also real, but to get to Heaven, we must abide by the way and will of God.  It is to expect that God will return to take His people with Him; those who are His disciples.

Interestingly enough, we as humans do not really think about our life after Earth.  We do not and/or are not that concerned with where we will spend eternity after this physical, earthly existence.  So then to fear God is to expect that He will fulfill His Word exactly as He has told us in The Holy Bible.

God invites us to converse with Him.  God loves to hear us praise Him with our lips but does want us to live in a manner that brings Him glory.  Whatever we are doing that is in opposition to God, we have to fear God enough as well as love God enough to want to and actually correct our way.  If you decide to read a little further in this chapter 34, you can see that when we fear God, God will provide everything we need and we will be without need.

It takes FAITH to FEAR God.

    Today’s Scripture:

Psalm 34:9 New International Version (NIV) | Fear the LORD, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing.

  • Hey Everyone,

Just thought I would share this song by Donnie McClurkin. It really helps me get through some tough, tough times.

GOD is able to keep us, sustain us, deliver us, rescue us…be our EVERYTHING

    Today’s Scripture Readings:

James 5:7-11 God’s Word Translation (GWT)

Brothers and sisters, be patient until the Lord comes again. See how farmers wait for their precious crops to grow. They wait patiently for fall and spring rains. 8 You, too, must be patient. Don’t give up hope. The Lord will soon be here. 9 Brothers and sisters, stop complaining about each other, or you will be condemned. Realize that the judge is standing at the door. 10 Brothers and sisters, follow the example of the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. They were patient when they suffered unjustly. 11 We consider those who endure to be blessed. You have heard about Job’s endurance. You saw that the Lord ended Job’s suffering because the Lord is compassionate and merciful.

Ephesians 3:16-21 New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

16 I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit, 17 and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love. 18 I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

20 Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

May Our Lord be in our thoughts, our hearts and let faith draw us nearer to Him and believe that God is Able and will make a way for us, in His TIME. Be Blessed.

  • Well, the past couple of weeks have been a real struggle.  It is been hard to concentrate and I have to constantly re-remind myself that I am God’s child so He is with me always.  In the book of Exodus 3, Moses is met by God in the form of a burning bush.  God tells Moses, in today’s terms, “I am all you need.”

Moses was contemplating going to tell Pharaoh what God instructed him to say.  Moses, from a carnal [earthly] standpoint, felt discouraged because Pharaoh was the king. Moses looked at Pharaoh to be a mountain that he could not get past.  Moses was then encouraged and empowered by God to go to Pharaoh, but not by himself, God told Moses that He would be with Him and by God’s power, Pharaoh had to subject to God’s authority through Moses.

This leads me to say…every time I face a “mountain” and its bigger than me, I know from reading God’s Word that I can and will cross the mountain.  No matter how high, how steep, how cold, how dreary, how it looks like I can be defeated, I must realize that God is on my side.  Who else can be God?  Who can beat me if I stand and walk in God’s authority? Who can tear me down? So what, things are going to happen that hurt and try to destroy us, but please if you do nothing else, remember you are a child of the Most High God!!!

Know that you belong to the King of Kings, the ruler of everything…..nothing is too hard for Our God.  These trials, struggles, mishaps will not destroy us nor keep us from reaching our next destination…IF we decide within our mind, body, and soul that the LORD is on our side.

Walk in authority, trust God to keep His Word, we will struggle as Jesus did, but as Jesus was raised, so shall we be raised out of everything that comes against us!!!

Do focus on this and say BUT LORD (In spite of my situation), I AM GOING TO TRUST YOU, ANYWAY EVEN THOUGH I AM GOING THROUGH!!! Repeat this with belief everyday in every situation and in every thought.  USE this phrase with assurance so you can confuse the enemy and began to let God have control over that “thing(s) you face.  Say it so you can hear it!

Be encouraged and walk in the authority God gave us.

    Today’s Scripture Reference:

Isaiah 41:10 NLT “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”

Psalm 55:16,17, 23b CEV “I ask for your help, Lord God, and you will keep me safe. Morning, noon, and night
you hear my concerns and my complaints.” “Our Lord, we belong to you. We tell you what worries us,
and you won’t let us fall.” “I trust you, Lord!

  • Lord, with everything going on in the world, I must still say that YOU are good! With all that is going on in my life, ups and downs, I must say that You are definitely good to me.

Lord, I realize that I complain way too much and I want to apologize and ask for Your forgiveness. Sometimes I feel like I am drowning in life’s issues but then I do remind myself that if You brought me to it, You can bring and will bring me through it!

So today I wanna tell You thank You. I acknowledge how awesome You are and know Your power is far beyond our thoughts. I will grow in confidence in You and Rely on You to be my strength, my hope, my support, my advocate, my coach, my defense, my corrector, my grace, my mercy, my Healer, my deliverer, my anchor, the One who carries my burdens.
This week simply tell God thank You and fill in everything You thank God for…as You acknowledge Him by praise and worship and sincere thankfulness, do remind yourself that Our God loves to hear our cry for help as well as our output of praise! His Word mixed with your sincerity by way of your faith makes way for His DIVINE MOVEMENT in your life. Lord, your benefits are the best insurance we could ever have and all You ask for a premium is to acknowledge You by living as best we can by following Your statues.
    Today’s Scriptures:
Shout with joy to the LORD, all the earth! Worship the LORD with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the LORD is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation. (‭Psalms‬ ‭100‬:‭1-5‬ NLT)
Let all that I am praise the LORD; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s! (‭Psalms‬ ‭103‬:‭1-5‬ NLT)
  • How many of you are waiting on God to do something about your situation?  Everybody has times in their lives when things get a little rocky.  Turbulence comes at times we feel already overwhelmed.  How do we deal with the stormy weather?  Why does it happen again and again? Sometimes, just when you think its over, here comes another storm.

My thought about all this is simply that God is in control.  He is the ruler above all.  God loves us and knows what is best for us.  He knows what needs to take place in order to draw us closer to Him and become stronger and wiser.  If we trust in God to be Our Deliverer and realize that God does still love us.  He gives us times like these in order for Him to get the glory.  Like anyone else, I get frustrated and angry with God sometimes.  Some “church” folks would probably tell me I am wrong for these feelings but I am just being real.  God wants our honesty.  Even though we think we are hiding our thoughts, we are not. Nothing is hidden from God.  When I get mad at God or confused about His decision in my life, I go to Him in prayer to tell Him how I feel and He answers me by reassuring me that He got me. Although storms rise in my life, God assures me He got me in His arms; there I am safe.

I want to encourage everyone to go to God with every feeling you have.  If you are sincere (being real and honest) to God, then He will respond to your humility and in His time, He will begin to turn your dark days into bright and sunny days.  Rain and thunderstorms will cease, sooner or later.  Praying is intimate communication with God.  It is through Jesus the Christ that we can come to God boldly to ask of Him to do anything in accordance to His Will for our lives.  Be encouraged.  Wait on it, pray on it, believe on Him, and it will come.  CHANGE is coming.

    Thanks for reading…
